Second home conversion

The situation

She was renovating a lakeside property as her family's summer home and didn't want it sitting empty between visits. The goal was booked enough to carry the mortgage without being booked so often that the house stopped feeling like theirs.

What I did

Guests come to Bonham for the lake, so every decision pointed at the water. I opened the living room to the view with room for the whole group to gather at sunset. The deck became zones instead of a place to sit, with space to lounge, talk, eat and relax right on the water. The primary bedroom was turned into a suite where the lake's the first thing you see, and the navy walls were chosen so the view pops in photos and in person.
